Weiss. Jarod is a boy-genius taken from his family as a child. Jarod possesses the ability to quickly learn and impersonate different jobs and occupations. He was abducted by a facility simply known as “The Centre” where he was specially trained to develop his unique intelligence and abilities as a Pretender.

But after years of these performances, Jarod becomes wise to the fact that these simulations aren't being used to help people. The Centre sells the sims to the highest bidder to do with as they please, whether it is for good or evil purposes. Knowing this, he breaks free from his captors. Now, as an adult, Jarod sets out to find his family. Along the way, he befriends many people, righting any wrong by using his abilities to become anyone he wants to be.

But the Centre has a lot invested in Jarod, and they won't give him up easily. They recruit Sydney, his father-figure and trainer all through his time growing up in The Centre. Sydney is the only man who is so close to Jarod, he knows how he thinks. Also in pursuit is Miss Parker, Jarod's childhood friend whose father runs The Centre. Both are aided by Broots, a nervous computer whiz who is always going above and beyond the call of duty (whether he wants to or not).

Malcolm is the middle son of Lois and Hal. Lois, who works in a department store, is a tough mother who dominates the family home. Hal, Malcolm’s father is almost surreally detached from the rest of the family; He is more relaxed than Malcolm’s mother because he is afraid of wrong decisions. A fourth and eldest son, Francis, is away at military school, his parents hoping it will instill some discipline into the lad with a history of juvenile delinquency. The next eldest boy, Reese, is a thick-eared sort, like a diluted Francis; the youngest, Dewey, is a strange kid with an off-centre view of the world; in the middle is Malcolm, a regular enough lad whose pursuit of a normal childhood is thwarted by his odd parents and by the fact that he is owing a genius IQ. Malcolm's only real friend is the wheelchair-bound, Stevie Kenarban, a bright boy with breathing difficulties who delivers pithy put-downs between gasps. Episodes centred around Malcolm's adventures, his take on life being imparted to the viewer in voiceover or direct-to-camera monologues. Subsequent seasons showed the kids growing up. The series first aired on January 9, 2000, and ended its six-and-a-half-year run on May 14, 2006

www.tvmilk.com
